A Natural Disaster

You are bold to have dismissed your framework for a flood of emotion.

But I see you shaking.

You cannot withstand the nature of your choices.

Consequences have

woken you with tremors,

evacuated your residential friends,

drowned your sense of entitlement,

incinerated your understanding of you,

and ravaged what remains with gusts of shame.

Your pride has denied you a life vest.

I hate to see you drowning,

But you refuse to learn to swim.
